Party City

A while back a reader sent in a picture of her and her son modeling some tiny hats while shopping at a Party City.  That got me thinking.  Party City is a huge chain in the U.S.  Yes it is mostly party supplies, but they do have costumes year round as well.  The photo collage above is composed of just a few of the small hats available on Party City's website.  They have some mini hats as low as $2.99, which I think is great if you are on a budget.  That little cowgirl hat on the bottom right is only $4.99.  I am all for the handcrafted works of art that can be found at boutiques and websites like Etsy, but it is nice to know an affordable option exists from a reputable source.

Easter Hats on Parade

 
Easter is a lovely opportunity to dress in your best and brightest Spring attire.  I know some parts of the country are still experiencing winter this year (me included), but that shouldn't put a damper on anyone's celebrating.  Unfortunately,  the fine establishment behind these lovely hats, Krowns Kreations & Celebrations, seems to be down for the moment.  I still wanted to share the lovely toppers to help everyone get in the mood for Spring.

These funky and fun hats are from Trash Riot on Etsy.  Sadly, it looks like the shop is empty for now.  A real shame, these hats look fabulous and I would love one.

Spring Has Sprung

Today is the first day of Spring.  What better way to mark the occasion than some Spring like tiny hats.  These lovelies are from Kena Bows, sassy flair for everyday princess wear.  I just love the tag line!  These hats definitely put me in a Spring time mood.

I love when someone takes creative inspiration and focuses it into fashion.  These Oz inspired tiny top hats are the work of Handmade By Bonnie who also has a facebook page.  What I like the most about these hats is that while they compliment the costumes, you can easily see the connection between each character and their hat regardless.  Which one is your favorite?

Gamago has a fun party favor, tiny trucker hats.  At $10 for a set of 8, I think it is a pretty nice deal.  You can customize the front, as seen above.  Much better than boring, old name tags for your next party.

A Community of Tiny Hats

If you haven't watched Community yet, I highly suggest you check it out.  The characters start sporting tiny hats as early as the second episode of season one.  Though, the Dean and his feminine costumes are usually the reason for the fashion cameo.
